ROP Welfare Facility
We designed the facility around a change of pace, starting with a long dining room under a dark, exposed ceiling. Rows of warm pendants pull the eye toward the daylight at the far end, while weathered, multi-toned timber flooring, terracotta chairs, and fretwork panels keep the room from feeling institutional.
The terrace loosens things further: woven lounge chairs in coral and deep green sit among white columns and palms, with slatted timber screens and fluted partitions breaking the seating into smaller groups. Planted niches and geometric cage pendants carry the mood of the dining room outdoors.
The suites settle into a quieter register. Walnut-toned headboard walls and slatted partitions separate sleeping from sitting without closing either off, and concealed coves wash the textured plaster in soft light. Fitted kitchenettes, built-in desks, and curved armchairs make each suite feel lived in rather than merely stayed in.
